Upon a Fold

Do you like paper? How about origami? How about amazing things? 'Cause this is waaaay beyond origami if you ask me. Behold, Upon a Fold!

These paper vases are shapable and stampable, not to mention A-mazing.

And I'd love to get this paper piano for my sister, the pianist.

I think everyone needs a cupcake stand—or two or three.

And what a lovely way to send some love.

DIY Paper Cup Wreath

I see a lot of crafts in the blogosphere that I think, "That looks okay in the photo but in real life I think it would look cheap." But here is one craft that is cheap but I think real life (and in the photo) would actually look pretty darn cool. What do you think?

A DIY paper cup wreath! Modern and elegant. Twig and Thistle does it again. Pin It

More DIY art

Along the lines of that last DIY, here are more variations. Love it.

Pretty clipboard

I found an old clipboard and decided to pretty it up. I used some wrapping paper that was created and gifted to me by my talented friend and coworker, Suzanne. Unfortunately the paper was a little thin for the task, and tore a little in one spot along the edge, so I recommend using a heavy wrapping paper or even wallpaper. Scrapbook paper was a little to short to fit. I used mod podge to glue it all on. I intend to used it to hang my lists of projects I want to complete, and sketches of projects and other such things. You should try it. Easy, fun, cheap, and cute.

I love DIY's

I love DIY's. I love them. I want to try every one of them. Anyway, here's a great (and easy) one. And I do have a tip to add on to this. When you cut your foam board, use a brand new blade in your knife, otherwise you may get some jagged spots in the middle core part. And hold it nice and vertical as you cut too, so you don't have angled walls. That said, I think I'll stop by Michaels on my way home and see if they have any foam board so I can give this a try. I have a bathroom suffering from plain walls.

Birthday Fun

I've been on vacation for a week, so I'm now catching up. July 26th was my birthday, and it fell on a Saturday this year. So my coworkers/friends had an early celebration for me. Check out the cuteness and creativity of these amazing people I work with. I loved it!

And this is the card they made for me! It looks just like the purses I make! Amazing!

And mini purses with a surprise inside!

Martha's tins

I guess Martha Stewart had the same idea for pencil tins. Not like it's really original or anything... She has such great photography too. Pin It

Pencil Tin Round Three

Modified again. It was bugging me. I think a simple ribbon did the trick.

Pencil Tin

I call this a mini craft because it was so simple. Turn a tin can into a pencil tin just by wrapping it in pretty paper. You could make a coordinated set of these for pens, pencils, markers, paint brushes, etc. Also you could use a small paint can instead of a food can. Ooo, and if you were real crafty, you could put a ribbon around it and a tag on the front that says "pencils", or "markers." In fact I might just have to do that, and re-post this.
