Another Headband

I quickly made this headband one morning to go with a beautiful gold dress that Ava has. In the future I will try to take more photos of my processes and share them with you. I just used a crochet style ribbon, and two pieces of satin ribbon for the flowers.
17 months old, and that's all the hair she's got!

So Simple Bow Band

Thin is in. So I made little {A} a simple thin gray headband. Easiest thing ever. I put a piece of black elastic in the back, for comfort and a better fit.

Wouldn't a velvet ribbon one be darling? Maybe that will be next...

Stripes and Yellow Plum Headband

I wish I were good at naming things. By the name of my blog, you can tell I'm not. Maybe I could name this headband the Harriet? What do you think? (Did I even spell it right?)
The girls at work saw me wear this one before I shortened the straps to fit little {A}. (It took 3 tries to get it small enough, including another round after this photo shoot).
(Here she is enthralled with the grass. Fascinating.)

Hello Headband

Here's another great way to use fabric scraps. Remember this pillowcase top I made? With the scraps I made this little headband for {A}. I looks darling with her hotpink skirt and black capris. And it has an adjustable strap so she will be able to wear it for a while. Someday she might even have hair.

And here's an idea for you... My clever sister-in-law asked me if that adjustable strap was a bra strap. It's not, but hey if you're ready to toss an old bra out, why not snip off the strap and use it for an adjustable headband? It would be a tighter elastic, but if you adjust it properly it should still be comfortable.
