Black and Glittered Pumpkins

This year I decided to match my pumpkins with my Halloween wreath. I spray painted them glossy black (took several coats of paint). I then drew webs with glue, and sprinkled on the fine purple glitter. The Elmers glue was a little globby at first (see large pumpkin), and the glue that comes with the Martha Stewart glitter drew a fine line, but it was hard to see the web design with that (see small pumpkin). So you may want to practice on a piece of paper before attacking your pumpkin, if you ever do this.

I was hoping to get some better photos, but with the cold rain that is lingering here, I think these will just have to do. And P.S. don't put these out where they will get rained on. It washes away the glitter and glue.

So Simple Bow Band

Thin is in. So I made little {A} a simple thin gray headband. Easiest thing ever. I put a piece of black elastic in the back, for comfort and a better fit.

 

Wouldn't a velvet ribbon one be darling? Maybe that will be next...

DIY Pumpkin candle holder

I'd like to make a black glitter one for Halloween--make sure you paint the pumpkin black before you black glitter it, if you decide to go this route. And with a black or purple candle inside, ooooh, love. Oh, Oh! Or you could do a purple under painting with black glitter—that could be quite nice! Pin It

Mustache Party

You may (or may not) know that mustaches are hot. They are currently everywhere. Don't believe me? Here's just one example (click here). And since no one is more aware of this trend than dear Paula, for her birthday it seemed appropriate to celebrate with that theme.

Fun Halloween

I've found an idea for a front porch pumpkin that would go so nicely with my wreath.

Here's how I'll do it (and I'll post if I actually get around to it). I'll take my leftover black spray paint and spray a pumpkin all black. Then with Elmer's glue I'll draw some spider webs and pour purple glitter all over it. Easy, right? Easy but messy. Pin It
