More Chalkboard Art (Plus a Free Printable!)

Last night I participated in a church youth event called New Beginnings, and the theme this year was Stand in Holy Places (taken from a scripture). So once again we hauled out our oversized chalkboard and I drew up some lettering. I forgot to get photos before the tassels were up, so you get tassels in this picture too.

We had some giant pink balloons flanking the dessert table as well, and they were super cool. I want to fill my house with them. My friend, Camille, made all the tassels and always does a fantastic job with decorations.

I drew this up digitally as well, so that we could use the same image for our programs. You are welcome to use it for any non-profit purposes as well. For the link, click HERE.

Halloween Craft #4: Halloween Coloring Book Pages

We had a neighborhood "Fall Festival" party tonight, and we needed some activities to keep the little ones happy while the grown-ups socialized. Among other things, we had coloring. I quickly drew up these coloring pages for the kiddos and now I'm sharing them with you.

Mosaic Pottery Barn Art

If your house is in need of a little Umph (and mine is!), you might want to try this mosaic tutorial over at Remodelaholic. She takes her inspiration from Pottery Barn and creates a custom piece using scrapbooking paper. I might just have to do this for the large blank wall behind my bed.

I saw this tutorial on Craftster and I think I'm going to have to make one. It would be great to do family portraits like this, one of me, one of my hubby and one of little {A}. And oh so easy. I might have to buy new masking fluid though, mine is prettttty old. Pin It

A peek inside my brain

Did you ever look at clouds and find shapes when you were a kid? I must have done a lot of this because I still see shapes. I see shapes in all kinds of places. I don't try to see shapes, they just jump out at me. And p.s.--I know this is wierd.
